A few possibilities: If you visually saw the room spinning during the sensation, this would suggest vertigo from an inner ear issue. Vertigo is usually benign, but especially in younger adults if it recurs an exam by a doc is important. Lightheadedness on standing (without spinning) can also be caused simply by dehydration. Sinus or ear infections can contribute to dizziness and balance issues as well.
