Both should be fine: Either one of these should be fine. The paragard is a copper coil so contains no progestin type hormones. The mirena (levonorgestrel) does contain a progestin type hormone similar to provera but at a much lower dose. If you want to get away from progestins completely to be safe then go with the paragard.
