I've been experiencing urinary urgency/pain, frequently. but every time i get tested for a uti, it comes up negative. i don't know how to get relief.

Here are some...: UTI is a common cause for temporary urinary frequency & urgency but not the only one with others including over urine excretion resulting from fluid over-drinking, urine over production from various reasons, poor bladder instability life CI, poor bladder emptying, etc. More? Ask your urologist who should be able to address the related issues on your voiding concerns.
