Ibuprofen is the most helpful OTC medication that you can take to help decrease the inflammation in the area (if you can take Ibuprofen). Suspicious Bump?: I would advise you to have the red bump on your tongue examined by a dentist or dental specialist (e.g. oral surgeon, OFP). Any suspicious bump that does not resolve itself in 2-3 weeks should be evaluated.
