It varies: It varies from person to person and the cause. THERE ARE VARIOUS CAUSES OF THE SYNDROME. The Os Peroneum (a sesamoid) is located in the peroneus longus tendon. An acute fracture of the Os can cause a discontinuity in the tendon.The boney callus of a healed or healing fracture can press on the tendon >>tendonitis.
