It can be a...: A sign to see the doctor just about now. A head lump the size of a marble is a sign to call the doctor. When it's the size of a ping-pong ball, there's definitely trouble. By the time it's as big as a baseball, we're beyond trouble. The Emergency Room can help, if such a patient does not have access to a primary care doctor. It could be an infection, a parasite, a cancerous tumor, a cyst, etc....
