HowDryIAm,HowDryIAm: If you are saying you wake up with a dry mouth and throat it may mean you are mouth breathing and snoring at night. Has anyone ever mentioned this to you? Like: "My God, you sound like a dying rhinoceros when you're asleep!" Do you feel tired during the day? If so you may have some degree of an obstructive sleep problem, or maybe just nasal congestion. So try and sort this out with your doctor.
