Confusing story: X-rays are generally done because someone has a problem like fever, wheezing, etc. Why was this one done? X-rays may be falsely negative early in a pneumonia but can remain abnormal for weeks after it is healed. I don't order repeat films in most such cases. If this kid was treated and better, this is likely just expected findings. I'd need a better history & a look at the film to comment more.
