Probably OK: You should not treat yourself with leftover drug, unless instructed to do so by your doctor, usually after additional diagnostic tests to confirm whatever diagnosis is suspected. However, outdated drug should be fine. Expiration dates are very conservative and usually not an issue if stored properly, e.g. not in a hot car glove box. Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) from 2014 should be both safe and effective.
