Get checked for STI: Not many STIs would start as a single red bump, but herpes might be a possibility. Aside from "it burns", you don't say what other STI-like symptoms you have (discharge? odor? abdominal pain?). In any case, obviously STIs are on your mind, which implies you are sexually active and possibly at risk. Therefore, you should be examined and tested for STIs. Do it ASAP. Good luck!
