A member asked:

Would your heart attack symptoms be the same indoors as outdoors shoveling snow, or does the freezing cold supress your warning signs?

Variable: The symptoms of heart attack are variable and it is more important to know all of the possible symptoms rather than trying to distinguish between outdoor and indoor symptoms. Symptoms are also different between men and women. See this site for men: http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/features/his-guide-to-a-heart-attack

Heart Attack in cold: A heart attack or myocardial infarction has a variety of symptoms and can have no symptoms in some people. Myocardial Infarction (MI) most commonly presents with pain and pressure under the sternum "feels like an elephant sitting on my chest" is common. These symptoms can also be present in cold weather, as can diaphoresis (sweating), fatigue, or weakness. http://tinyurl.com/qyml4at
