No fetal heart beat: If at 8 weeks there is no heartbeat on multiple occasions( 2 or 3), the baby is not alive. if you have not spontaeously started to deliver the fetal remains , then it is best to have it induced and if needed have a vacuum aspiration or D&C. The longer the fetal remains are inside more risk of infection, prolonged bleeding.Many women experience fetal loss and have subsequent sucessful pregnancies
