Banana allergy: There is a likelihood that even though you don't react to banana bread, you are still allergic to bananas (and you may even be cross-reactive with avocado, chestnut, and kiwi, as well as latex). I would not be surprised that cooked banana, such as that found in banana bread, would have proteins which are changed from the high heat of cooking, thus causing them not to be allergenic for you anymore
