Probably not: BUT it is unexplained and with the color change, you should have it checked. Get an appointment and meanwhile apply hot compresses to see if it goes away then you can cancel if it does. Almost any "pigmented" (colored) lesion, unless it is a simple bruise that changes color and disappears after a few days, and those that you can feel, could potentially be dangerous, IMO. Need an exam: It would be necessary to see the area involved to give advice. An online consultation at Health Tap may be helpful. You can upload several images of the area. However it's possible that images won't suffice and you may have to still have to see a physician in person to examen the lesion.
