5 years: After college I spent 4 years in medical school(graduated), then completed my internship( general surgery)for 1 year then finished my orthopedic surgery residency( 4 years).Following residency my sports medicine/ arthroscopy fellowship lasted 1 year. This is the usual training for most ORS's( 10 years! after college)...some schools now allow u to finish college and med school in 6 years. Best Luck!
