Possible: Adults who smoke are at higher risk to have nerve hearing loss so i suppose that second hand smoke could do the same in exposed children. Children exposed to smoke have a higher incidence of upper respiratory illnesses which is the primary cause of either fluid behind the ear drum or ear infection, both of which can reduce hearing until the fluid clears.
