Sounds to me: like a FUNGAL infection of your nail...you might try an OTC anti-fungal preparation for nails......If this does not help OR if it SPREADS to another nail ...see a Board Certified Dermatologist for an opinion and treatment! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Finger laceration: and swelling can be suggestive infection, and the most common acute infections are bacterial. Soaking in hydrogen peroxide or soapy water may help as well as topical antibacterial ointments Greenish or yellowish discoloration can also be a late effect of "black and blue" . If the discoloration continues with swelling, seek medical attention

Need details: Green pus from pseudomonas infection can occur with chronic paronychia. Bandaids and amino glycoside ointments must be avoided. Do not use bacitracin or neosporin. You had best see a dermatologist.
