Dr. Keshav Narain answered

Specializes in Retinal Surgery

Get a retinal exam: Diabetes can cause many problems with the vision. These include blurring of the vision due to swelling in the retina. In the later stages, vision deteriorates due to bleeding from abnormal new vessels. If left untreated, scarring will damage the retina and vision will be irreversibly damaged. Early diagnosis and treatment leads to better outcomes. I would see an ophthalmologist and have oct.
