Have had diabetes for decades, does it explain my blurry vision?

Possibly: While the most common cause of blurry vision is uncorrected eyeglass needs, diabetes can affect the clarity of the lens and the architecture of the retina with bleeding and vascular changes, all of which can cause blurriness. Diabetic should have an annual examination by an ophthalmologist as most of these changes are treatable if caught before permanent damage.

Possibly: 1.Acute blurry vision most commonly related to poor blood sugars. 2. If sub-acute, can have more chronic retinal damage- macular edema 3. If slow, chronic, cataracts are a common cause. Meed evaluation by ophthamologist!
