Sharp zaps stomach: too many things to list-see and tell your DR. then be examined and see what MD thinks. this will narrow down list a lot and suggest proper tests needed if any. Then list will be smaller- repeat till it goes away or cause found and treated.

Gas: By far the most likely cause for a fleeting pain in this area is a gas bubble that causes some part of the intestinal tract to balloon out momentarily which can be painful. As soon as it passes, the pain is gone. Try some simethicone or charco-caps and avoid all foods and sodas and gum that can cause gas.
