Nope: No.Ecod-Plus is cod liver oil (yummy!)& vitamin E.If you're not taking iron supplements or bismuth- containing medications (like Pepto-Bismol)then that black color could be from blood passing down the intestinal tract from higher up(usually near the stomach),especially if it starts getting real soft & sticky, like tar,& smells like nothing you have ever smelled before(and I don't mean a potpourri)

Get it tested for bl: No it is not a side effect of ecod plus which contains cod liver oil . Macrocobalaminr, biotin and folic acid and wheat germ oil. Black stools old can be due to blood coming from the stomach and can be from certsin foods you are . Your doctor can check for blood as that can be serious and may need treatment
