This usually: indicates INFLAMMATION or INFECTION and a small bowel study may be indicated! Talk with your PCP for the next "step".. eg: are you having symptoms?? what is the discomfort like?? any fever???chills??? See your PCP as soon as practicable! Hope this helps!

Difficult to say: Matted implies collapsed loops of bowel possibly sticking or adherent to each other. This diagnosis is difficult with ultrasound. CT scan is a better test to look for abnormal bowel loops.
