Perhaps: An inner ear infection is extraordinarily rare and is either from meningitis or acute otitis media that has spread, to the inner ear causing deafness and profound vertigo. If you really did have an inner ear infection i would expect you to, have these and other symptoms such as deafness. Mild dizziness and tinnitus are common in otitis media and usually resolve as the fluid behind the drum resolves.

Inner?: Most ear infections are not inner ear but middle and external. Symptoms are from laberynthitis like vertigo, nausea, loss of balance, headache, tinnitus etc. Most common is a viral infection. Treatment can be antivert, phenergan, (promethazine) ativan, steroids, antiviral etc. You need to see a physician soon during the acute phase.
