Do not worry: you should be fine as the dog has all the shots and deer eating should not give any bacterial skin infection..as long you have cleaned it you are fine

Watch for infection: in puncture sites and get a tetanus booster if your last one was more than 7 years ago. Since the dog is up to date on vaccines, you should be protected from rabies, but there are still bacteria in dog saliva which can cause infection, which will cause redness and swelling at the site. This can develop in 12-24 hours, and if present, see a doctor for antibiotics. Deer meat is no concern.

Consult needed: Puncture wound from a bite animal / human, especially in a closed space is susceptible to infection, injury to soft tissue etc . Antiseptic is a very good first step the wound needs proper inspection by a clinician to evaluate for and treat complications of your injury.

Be seen: A dog bite is a dirty wound and high risk for infection. Washing out the wound and being put on antibiotics that cover pasteurella among other possible organisms should be done.

Dog bite treatment: The wound should be washed well with plenty of running water (tap water is fine). If it is a deep wound then it is likely to require antibiotics and if you have not had a tetanus immunization then you will need one. See your doctor if it is more than a bit of a scratch.

Clean and watch: Less than 15% of dog bites get infected. Aggressively wash it out and keep an eye on it. If it starts to get red, hurt or have puss coming from the wound - then see a doctor. Always verify the dogs vaccination status.
