Medication effects: Your Health is Precious! Please do not use Nyquil with Venlafaxine. Nyquil has dextromethorphan in it. Taking Dextromethorphan with Venlafaxine can increase the risk serious Serotonin Syndrome-confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes in blood pressure. See Psychiatrist to discuss decreasing dose of Venlafaxine, Therapy, other medications-Lexapro or Wellbutrin (bupropion).
