Corpus spongiosum: surrounds urethra & runs into glans. Each corpus spongiosum, there are two is like a rod which becomes engorged & traps blood during an erection. There are 2 corpora cavernosa (plural of cavernosum). They are above corpus spongiosum, which is in a groove between them.
