Contagious mono: Doctors are not sure how long someone is contagious with mono but it can be up to 18 months.

Maybe: Consider the most contagious period to be the first three weeks after symptoms start, with less for the first 3 months,then intermittently for years.Most adults are not susceptible having had it as kids. Travel plans should best be reviewed with the treating doc, who has more specific information.
