My mirena (levonorgestrel) needs to be surgically removed after two failed attempts. what should i expect?? an overnight stay in hospital?? a big op???thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Minor operation: Usually its a minor operation done as an out-patient surgery with no overnight stay. Usually there is no cutting involved. A camera is placed in the uterus, the IUD is visualized and grasped and removed. After an hour in the recovery room, you get to go home. Best Wishes!
