See answer: Most medications shd be used after meals to minimize stomach irritation. Unless specifically indicated that the medicine shd be used on an empty stomach to enhance absorption. The child may be able to tolerate the medicine on an empty stomach but if he has vomiting from it then u shd give it after meals. In spite of that the child may vomit which wld indicate change of medicine.
