Right sided pain: Right sided pain radiating to the back can be muscular, or caused by gall bladder or kidney problems like stones depending on whether the discomfort is high,low or middle. Your problem sounds more musculoskeletal and may be affected by back motions as well as coughing. If warm or cold packs and,if you can take them,nsaids like Advil (ibuprofen) don't help, see your physician for diagnosis and treatment.
