A member asked:

Oct. period 10/20-23, light bleeding on 11/17-18. last had sex on 11/3. neg hpt's continually since 11/17, could these be false neg? on pill.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Women properly taking their birth control pills "don't get pregnant".....with that being said, a few women on BC pills do get pregnant sometimes, but it is quite uncommon. Thus, when more than one pregnancy test is negative in a woman on BC pills... call that a true negative.
