No association: Salivary duct cancers are rare and probably induced by exposure of duct epithelium to viruses. The acid and bile refluxing in the esophagus are associated with GERDs and potential malignant changes in the lining of the lower esophagus. Barretts esophagus can become associated with dysplastic epithelium and continue to transform until GERDS brought under control
