Not necessarily: If you have an abscess on the roof of your mouth you need to go and get reevaluated by your physician. Do not assume the antibiotic you are taking for your UTI will help. Different bacteria are involved usually UTIs involve gram negative bacteria and skin and soft tissues infections can have gram positive or anaerobes. You need to get a checkup in person to know for sure. Do it today.
