Labial adhesions : occur in girls 3 mos.- 6 yrs. when the labia minora adhere, possibly from normally low estrogen or chronic inflammation from fecal soiling.Always wipe vulvar area front to back. Her doctor needs to see if adhesions cover >30-50% of vulva. Onychomadesis, complete loss of nails, can occur 1-10 weeks after a child has viral Hand, Foot & Mouth disease. If nail shedding recurs, she needs to be seen.
