Insomnia inPregnancy: I understand your desire to have relief from Insomnia. Zzzquil is Diphenhydramine- not a sleeping medication. Pregnancy is a major stressor affecting sleep. Have Heart to Heart talk with your partner about your pregnancy, change in life style, happiness and sadness, worries and fear, and unresolved feelings. Tai Chi or Yoga in evening; Breathing and Music Relaxation, Meditation before sleep

Ok: Diphenhydramine shouldn't be a problem during early pregnancy, but don't exceed recommended dosage and take it only as needed, tell your doctor about it in the next visit. Try alternate methods as relaxation, warm bath, no tv, pc or smart phone before bedtime, wish you a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby
