Hot: It may be a reflection of her baseline metabolic rate. Document her temperatures and ask about checking her thyroid. A good physical exam will help sort this out. All the best.

Interesting...: What is the temperature in the room? Is she wearing a sweater? It would be unusual, but rarely children can get a hyperactive thyroid state which would cause this. She would have an associated high resting pulse for her age in addition to this complaint. Have her seen by per ped for an exam to diagnose.
