I know not good to stop meds, but if have severe skin rash w/ antibiotics, shouldn't you stop? i had it at week 3 of a 4 wk treatment. told to stop

See your FamilyDoc: You're correct on both accounts: taking meds as directed is important. However, sometimes side effects are worse than desired benefit. But this can only be assessed by your FamilyDoc or whoever prescribed your antibiotics and/or can evaluate your rash. There are life-threatening rashes so don't delay re-eval. Go to ER if necessary esp if fevers, skin peeling or ulcers eg http://goo.gl/fsyXqP

STOP: You neglect to detail the indication for the antibiotic. You also neglect to detail the name of the antibiotic or any positive results. You must have notified whoever started the antibiotic!?!? If not, do so immediately, indicate it is URGENT, and take no more antibiotic until seen. If unable to be seen immediately, go to EMERGENCY.
