Constipation: Check out http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/constipation/basics/definition/con-20032773 where you appear to meet definition of constipation. It also sounds like you're disimpacting yourself (manually removing stool). In elderly, one of many causes of diarrhea is impaction/constipation whereby liquid stool leaks around blocked stool. So go see your GP for evaluation. Perhaps hypothyroid
