The key question: is whether you are still taking the pills? It would be very unusual for your period to become so irregular while taking them. Perhaps you stopped oral contraceptives when you and your boyfriend broke up. Then this irregular pattern would not be unusual, especially in a young woman. Best option: return to the prescribing doc for evaluation/re-prescription of the pill to once again regular hormones.
