I am a 44 year old female with type 1 diabetes. the last 4 months my wbc has been going up, it started at 12 and now is 19.5. my granulocytes 8.7 lymphocytes 9.8 monocytes 1.0 lymphocyte % 50.7 and rdw 16.4. what does this indicate?

Leucocytosis: Increase in total number of white blood cells has many causes, infection is the most common, yours have been there for 4 months, and the doctor who ordered those tests is definitely following / wants to confirm certain diagnosis. Other than infection, lymphoproliferative conditions can also cause such picture, talk to your doctor who may refer you to a hematologist to reach a final diagnosis
