Why?: Fungal infection at the rectum is quite unusual and may indicate some sort of immune impairment. On the other hand, whatever product indicated for use on mucous membrane can usually be used in the rectum as a rule of thumb. However do realize that the problem in your rectum is unlikely to be fungal and thus seek medical care if this has been present for more than 2 weeks.

Rectal canesten OK: since Canesten is safe for the Vagina, it should also be Ok for the rectal area, since they both have similar mucosa.
