Kidney stones: Most kidney stone do not have a definite cause, dehydration is common, inmobilization causes calcium loss from bones, kidney filtration defects, hyperfunction of the parathyroid gland, malabsortion from the GI tract, congenital renal defects (renal tubular acidosis, medullary sponge kidneys), gout, drug diamox, (acetazolamide) some diuretics.
