A member asked:

If after the first rabies vaccine shot "your body will start its 'homework'," then is the chance of still getting rabies impossible? ever documented?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: There are no 100% effective vaccines anywhere in the world. However to reassure u the information available on cdc.gov/rabies: Human rabies is rare in the United States. There have been only 55 cases diagnosed since 1990.However, between 16,000 and 39,000 people are vaccinated each year in the US as a precaution after animal bites.
