Is it normal to have nightsweats after a cold or mild flu or is this indicative of something more serious?

It can be nl: mainly it is the overall context and pattern. It used to be termed "the infection breaking" because it is indicative of the immune systems working. I see the opposite in elderly people getting pneumonia Most Weeks. But, they get the antibiotics and mostly do ok. Mostly there's some sweats in the improvement stage. BUT if infection NOT improving, continuing fever is NOT a good sign
