My son 5yrs old. his skin on feet were peeling, but looks better now. now his nails from the base seem to be peeling off. what is this?

Possible Kawasaki: disease, a poorly understood entity, but rare complications should be excluded. He should be checked by a pediatric cardiologist if the palmar or plantar surface of the hands and feet became very red prior to skin peeling. A possible cause of disruption of nail formation may occur in a form of psoriasis--to be checked bh a dermatologist or rheumatologist.
