Don't microwave: It's not bad for the milk, but it does heat the bottle unevenly and you risk burning the baby's mouth. Safer to warm the bottle in a bowl of hot water.

Change your pattern: You can use the microwave but should only do so using an open container.Heat as desired but mix the container with a spoon and check the temperature with a cooking thermometer or your finger. Make sure the mix is never more than 90 degrees or so. Pour into whatever they drink from.Plastic bottles insulate the fluid so you could give your baby boiling milk and not realize it.Be safe.
