Yes: If you are having monthly menses, you have the potential to be pregnant in any given month. But it takes two to tango. You will need to see a doctor to determine if you are having male or female factor problems.

To be safe: If you wish to protect against pregnancy would recommend that you use protection every time. During a period would be low risk time for pregnancy.

Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctor's office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Possible: Given your irregularities, anything is possible. I recommend repeating pregnancy test in 2 weeks. If negative, just wait for the next period.

A 17-year-old female asked:

I took m-pill after an intercourse before 24 hours and again had intercourse 4-5 days later the pill was taken . Am i at the risk of having pregnancy ?

Many pills have "M": Imprinted on them. Are your referring to some form of emergency contraception? If so, what does the information on the package say regarding how many hours after sex the window of effectiveness is? I am familiar with i-pill. Sorry, i just don't what m-pill is. Maybe another physician will know what this is.
