No help to be found: I'm afraid there is no medical way to stop a period once it's started. If on combined oral contraceptives already (estrogen + progesterone), skipping the placebo (sugar) pills at the end of the month and simply continuing the active pills will skip a period. For some women, if started at the end of a period a progesterone contraceptive will skip the next one.
