A member asked:

Is the paleo diet suitable for coeliacs?

Probably overkill: Celiac disease should get better with avoidance of gluten alone (wheat, rye, barley products). Paleo diet does not involve grains so it should be compatible but goes beyond that into raw foods which should not be an issue for celiac disease patients. Hope this helps!

Sort of.: Coeliac is a reaction to wheat protein (gluten). Paleo diet certainly does not require gluten and has a trend away from it. Certainly a paleo diet will avoid the gluten that is hidden in very many processed foods (soy sauce, most sauces with flour thickeners, etc.)
