Absolutely: It is very important that your teeth remain clean and healthy during your pregnancy. Consult with a local dentist.

Absolutely: Dental care during pregnancy is absolutely necessary for both you and your child. There's a definitive link between gum disease and both low birth weight babies and premature births. Abscessed teeth can pose an infection health threat to both your child and to you. Inform your Dentist that you're pregnant, have all necessary work done, and have a beautiful healthy baby.

Recommended: Pregnancy is not a reason to defer routine dental care or treatment. Dental local anesthesia and treatment are safe and essential during pregnancy.

Yes: Off course you can. Be sure to tell the dentist that you're expecting and don't have any routine X-rays. If you do need an Xray, your dentist will shield the baby with a lead apron. Best to clear up any dental issues now so they won't flare up in your later pregnancy. Congratulations!
